PREFACE. THIS Book has been prepared to meet the requirements of the New Code as a Geographical Reader for Standard IV. It treats of Scotland, Ireland, British North America, and Australasia. In order that the Lessons might be interesting and attractive, they have been kept as free as possible from mere geographical details. These have been given in a series of "General Summaries" and Recapitulation Exercises, which contain all the necessary memory work. The "Summary" at the end of each lesson may be used as a Dictation Exercise or for Home-work. To render the book still more useful the difficult words have been arranged and classified in the form of revisal exercises, which can be utilised in a variety of ways. |
