Charles Webster Leadbeater (1854–1934) was a prominent figure within the Theosophical Society, a spiritual organization that played a pivotal role in introducing Eastern mysticism to Western audiences at the turn of the 20th century. An ordained Anglican priest who later became a key disciple of Madame Blavatsky, co-founder of the Theosophy movement, Leadbeater's literary contributions primarily focus on occult subjects, clairvoyance, and spiritualism (Campbell, 1980). His considerable body of work includes titles such as 'The Astral Plane' (Leadbeater, 1895), which delves into the structures and inhabitants of the astral world, a concept deeply integral to theosophical thought. The book provides insights into the nature of astral phenomena, showcasing Leadbeater's detailed clairvoyant observations and setting a foundation for later esoteric literature.
