For those who have not yet studied the art of Double Acrostics, a few words of explanation are prefixed to this little book. In former times an Acrostic was simply a poem, each verse or each line of which began with the letter of a name, arranged in order, which might be read at a glance. This, of course, tried the ingenuity of the writer of the Acrostic only, not of the reader.
