All things are ready-Come!
To-morrow may not be ;

O sinner, come! the Saviour waits
This hour to welcome thee.

Albert Midlane.

TUNE-Sacred Songs and Solos, No. 16.

OME to the Saviour, make no delay,

COME

P.M.

Here in His Word He hath shown us the way;

Here, in our midst, He's standing to-day,

Tenderly saying, Come!

Joyful, joyful will the meeting be,

When from sin our hearts are pure and free;
And we shall gather, Saviour, with Thee,
In our eternal home.

2" Suffer the children "-oh, hear His voice!
Let every heart leap forth and rejoice,
And let us freely make Him our choice;
Do not delay, but come.

3 Think once again, He is with us to-day;
Heed now His blessèd command, and obey;
Hear now His accents tenderly say,
"Will you, my children, come?"

COME

COME to the Saviour now!
He gently calleth thee;

In true repentance bow,
Before Him bend the knee.
He waiteth to bestow

Salvation, peace, and love,
True joy on earth below,
A home in heaven above.

Come! come! come!

2 Come to the Saviour now!
Gaze on that crimson tide-
Water and blood-that flow
Forth from His wounded side.
Hark to that Suffering One-
""Tis finished!" now He cries,
Redemption's work is done;

Then bows His head, and dies.

3 Come to the Saviour now!
He suffered all for thee,
And in His merits thou

Hast an unfailing plea.

P.M.

74

No vain excuses frame,
For feelings do not stay;
None who to Jesus came,
Were ever sent away.
4 Come to the Saviour now!
Ye who have wandered far,
Renew your solemn vow,
For His by right you are.
Come, like poor wandering sheep,
Returning to His fold;
His arm will safely keep,

His love will ne'er grow cold.

5 Come to the Saviour, all!

Whate'er your burdens be;
Hear now His loving call-
"Cast all your care on Me."
Come, and for every grief
In Jesus you will find
A sure and safe relief,

A loving Friend and kind.

John M. Wigner.

O

H, come to Jesus now,

Jesus is here, Jesus is here;

All low before Him bow,

Jesus is here, Jesus is here;

Too many go away,

Too many still delay,
Though Jesus bids them stay:
Jesus is here, Jesus is here.
2 Oh, come this place within ;
He sees you full of sin,

He knows you when you come,
Poor, wretched, and undone,
Seeking Him and Him alone :
3 Come then to Jesus now;
All near Him lowly bow;
Oh, ye that feel your sin,
And coming long have been,
Now find your rest in Him:
4 Oh, come to Jesus now,
Old and young together bow;
Oh, what a glorious thing,
Sin's weary load to bring,
And lose it while we sing :

"NOW

OW is the accepted time!"
Now is the day of grace;
Now, children, come without delay,
And seek the Saviour's face.

"Now is the accepted time,"
The Saviour calls to-day;
To-morrow it may be too late-
Then why should you delay ?

"Now is the accepted time,"
And Jesus bids you come;
And every promise in His Word
Declares there yet is room.

Lord, draw our youthful hearts
To seek a Saviour's love;
Then shall rejoicing angels bear
The joyful news above.

Dobell.

JEsUome to Me and live;

ESUS now is calling,

Hear His solemn warning,
"Come to Me and live."

Jesus now is calling,
Calling, gently calling;
Sweetly now He's calling,
Calling you to come.

2 Children, He will never
Prove unkind, untrue;
Trust in Him, He'll ever

Guide you safely through.

3 Why do you still linger?
Jesus bids you come;
Crowns He'll give in glory,
When life's race is run.

4 We will heed His calling,
And no longer roam;
We will try to serve Him,
Till He calls us home.

TO-D

O-DAY the Saviour calls,
Ye wanderers, come;

Oh, ye benighted souls!
Why longer roam?

2 To-day the Saviour calls:
Oh, listen now!

Now in this solemn hour
To Jesus bow.

3 To-day the Saviour calls :
For refuge fly;

The storm of justice falls,
And death is nigh.

4 The Spirit calls to-day :
Yield to His power;
Oh, grieve Him not away!
'Tis mercy's hour.

Oh, come to the dear

H, come to the Saviour, dear children, to-day;

The heart is now tender, but if you delay,
'Twill surely grow harder and colder.

The Saviour is calling "To-day!

[ocr errors]

He waits to receive you and save;

Give heed to the warning,
Ere life's sunny morning

Be closed in the night of the grave.

2 You hear of the cross where Immanuel bled,
And tears down your faces are stealing;
But when a few years have rolled over your head,
You'll hear of that cross without feeling.

3 How many short graves in the churchyard you see, How many dear children there slumber;

And few may the years of your pilgrimage be,
No mortal can tell us their number,

4 Then hasten to Jesus, dear children, to-day,
He 'il save you from sin and from sorrow;
Give your hearts to Him now, and no longer delay,
For you cannot be sure of to-morrow.

H, won't you be a Christian
While you're young?
Oh, won't you be a Christian
While you're young?
Don't think it will be better
To delay it until later,
But remember your Creator
While you're young.

2 Oh, won't you love the Saviour
While you're young?

For you He left His glory,

And embraced a cross so gory;
Won't you heed the melting story
While you 're young?

3 Remember, death may find you
While you're young;

P.M.

For friends are often weeping,
And the stars their watch are keeping
O'er the grassy graves, where, sleeping,
Lie the young.

4 Oh, walk the path to glory
While you 're young;

And Jesus will befriend you,
And from danger will defend you,
And a peace Divine will send you
While you're young.

5 Then won't you be a Christian
While you're young?

Why from the future borrow,
When, ere comes another morrow,
You may weep in endless sorrow
While you're young?

ESUS Christ is calling thee;
Come now! come now!

JES

Now He offers pardon free;
Simply trust Him now!

2 He is waiting thee to bless;
Now to Him thy sins confess.
3 Longer do not stay away;
Now at once for mercy pray.
