The sloop of war Plymouth-just launched, and fitting for sea.
The sloop of war Preble-repairing.

The sloop of war Marion-nearly ready for sea.

The brig Consort, (store vessel)—ready for sea.

The hip of the line North Carolina-used as a receiving ship, and in good ofer.

The frigate Hudson-unfit for service.

The Virginia and Vermont, ships of the line.

AT BROOKLYN, N. Y.

The Sabine, a first class frigate; and the Albany, a first class sloop.

AT PHILADELPHIA, PENN.

The Germantown, a first class sloop.

AT WASHINGTON, D. C.

The St. Mary's, a first class sloop; and an iron steamer, not yet named.

AT NORFOLK, VA.

The New York, a ship of the line; the Jamestown, a first class sloop; and the frigate St. Lawrence, nearly ready to launch.

In addition to the above, there is being constructed at Erie, Pennsylvania, and not yet named, a medium sized iron steamer.

A statement of the cost or estimated value of stores on hand at the several navy yards, at the close of the fiscal year, (1st July, 1843,) of articles received and expended from the 1st July, 1842, to the 1st July, 1843, and the stores on hand at that period, (1st July, 1843,) under the appropriation for increase, repairs, armament, and equipment of the navy, and wear and tear of vessels in commission.

A statement exhibiting the number of days' labor, and the amounts expended, at the several navy yards, from the 1st of July, 1842, to the 30th of June, 1843, for the wages of mechanics and laborers, in building, repairing, or equipping vessels of the navy, or in receiving or securing stores and materials for these purposes.

There will be required under the head of "increase, repair, armament, and equipment of the navy," and "wear and tear of vessels in commission," for the year ending 30th June, 1844, one million nine hundred thousund dollars.
