After an earnest confideration of the holy leffons which are taught you in these texts, lift up your heart and fay,

O LORD JESUS CHRIST, Who art a Priest for ever, and Who hast said, My Flesh is meat indeed, and My Blood is drink indeed; I believe that Thou art the CHRIST, the Son of the Living GOD, Who cameft into this world, and art prefent in this Sacrament. LORD, increase my faith.

Vifit, I beseech Thee, O Thou God of Mercy, and cleanse my confcience, that

our LORD JESUS CHRIST when He cometh, may find in me a manfion prepared for Himself, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the HOLY GHOST, one GOD, world without end. Amen.

Our FATHER, Which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trefpaffes, As we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; But deliver us from evil. Amen.

May the words of my mouth, and the meditations of my heart, be always acceptable in Thy fight, O LORD, my strength, and my Redeemer.

Glory be to the FATHER, and to the SON and to the HOLY GHOST;

:

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever fhall be world without end. Amen.

REMEMBRANCE OF CHRIST'S SUFFERINGS

AND DEATH.

At Morning Prayer.

Text." He was wounded for our tranfgreffions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His ftripes we are healed."—Ifa. liii. 5.

GIVE Thee humble thanks, O bleffed JESUS, Who, to help our weak memories, which lofe so easily all heavenly things, and to imprefs Thy great love upon our fouls, haft ordained the holy Sacrament of Thy death, and faid, "Do this in remembrance of Me."

I know too well, from fad experience, how little I remember Thee, and all that Thou haft fuffered for me, and how needful Thy commandment is.

Every temptation, every vanity, is apt to fteal my heart from Thee, and therefore, with Thy dying words, Thou didst bid me to be mindful of Thee.

O let my heart love none but Thee, and let my love for Thee conduct me always to Thy table, that there I may taste and fee, and never more forget the mighty love which Thou haft shown for me, and for all finners fuch as I am.

By my fins Thou waft crucified, O LORD.

O Thou Who alone canft change the heart, be pleafed to change mine, left Thou be crucified afresh by me.

Give me new grace, new love, new strength and refolution, that henceforth I may give myself entirely to Thy fervice, as Thou didst give up Thyfelf upon the cross for me. Amen. Amen.

Here fay Pfalm xxii. (which is prophetical of the fufferings of CHRIST, and of the worship that fhould be paid Him after His triumph over death.) Our FATHER, &c.

[At Christmas, Eafter, &c., fay here the proper Collect from the Prayer Book, if you do not fay it in your daily prayers; but if you do, from Appendix I. or you may ufe both if you think proper.]
