FROM the riven Rock there floweth,

Living water, ever clear; Weary pilgrim, journeying onward, Know you not that Fount is near? Jesus is the Rock of AgesSmitten, stricken, lo! He dies; From His side a living fountain, Know you not it satisfies ? 2 "Without money " without merit, Jesus calls," Come unto Me!" Thirsty traveller, be encouraged, Know you not the Fount is free ? 3 Fainting in the desert weary,

Guilty sinner, hark! 'tis He! 'Tis the Saviour still entreating, Know you not?-"He calleth thee!" 359

sing of Jesus, "Lamb of God," who died on Calvary,

And for a ransom shed His blood
For you, and even me!

I'm redeemed!... I'm redeemed!.
Through the blood of the Lamb that was

slain!...

I'm redeemed!... I'm redeemed,...
Hallelujah to God and the Lamb!
2 O wondrous power of love divine!
So pure, so full, so free!

It reaches out to all mankind,
Embraces even me!

3 All glory now to Christ the Lord, And evermore shall be!

He hath redeemed a world of sin,
And ransomed even me!

3 Soon shall mine eyes behold Thee,
With rapture, face to face;
One half hath not been told me
Of all Thy power and grace;
Thy beauty, Lord, and glory,
The wonders of Thy love,
Shall be the endless story
Of all Thy saints above.

OUR

UR Lord is now rejected,
And by the world disowned,
By the many still neglected,
And by the few enthroned;
But soon He'll come in glory!
The hour is drawing nigh,
For the crowning day is coming
By-and-by.

Oh, the crowning day is coming!
Is coming by-and-by!
When our Lord shall come in "power"
And "glory" from on high!
Oh, the glorious sight will gladden
Each waiting, watchful eye,

In the crowning day that's coming
By-and-by.

2 The heavens shall glow with splen-
But brighter far than they [dour;
The saints shall shine in glory,

As Christ shall them array:
The beauty of the Saviour
Shall dazzle every eye,

In the crowning day that's coming
By-and-by.

8 Our pain shall then be over;
We'll sin and sigh no more,
Behind us all of sorrow,

And nought but joy before,

A joy in our Redeemer,
As we to Him are nigh,

In the crowning day that's coming
By-and-by.

4 Let all that look for, "hasten"
The coming joyful day,

By earnest consecration,
To walk the narrow way;
By gathering in the lost ones,
For whom our Lord did die,
For the crowning day that's coming
By-and-by.

I think were they trimmed night and morning, [out, They would never burn down or go Though from the four quarters of heaven

The winds were all blowing about.

To hail the millennial day!

WHEN the dewy light was fading,

Wand the sky in beauty smiled,

Came a whisper like an echo,

From a pale and dying child:
"Mother, in that golden region,
With its pearly gates so fair,
Up among the happy angels,

Is there room for Mary there?" Come, there's room! come, there's room! Room with the glorified angel band! Yes, there's room! yes, there's room!

Room in the beautiful heavenly land! 2 "Mother, raise me just a moment; You'll forgive me when I say, You were angry when you told me I was always in your way. You were sorry in a moment,

I could read it on your brow; But you'll not recall it, mother, You must never mind it now. 3 "When my baby sister calls me, And you hear my voice no more, When she plays among the roses By our little cottage door, Never chide her when you're angry,Do it kindly and in love, That you both may dwell with Mary In the sunny land above."

4 Then she plumed her snowy pinions, Till she folded them to rest, 'Mid the welcome song of rapture, On her loving Saviour's breast. In the bright and golden region, With its pearly gates so fair, She is singing with the angels: "There is room for Mary there."

AWAKE, my soul, in joyful lays,

And sing thy great Redeemer's praise;

He justly claims a song from me:
His loving-kindness, oh, how free!

Yet loved me, notwithstanding all; He saved me from my lost estate: His loving-kindness, oh, how great! 3 Though numerous hosts of mighty foes, [pose, Though earth and hell my way op He safely leads my soul along: His loving-kindness, oh, how strong! 4 I often feel my sinful heart

Prone from my Saviour to depart; But though I oft have Him forgot, His loving-kindness changes not. 5 Soon shall I pass the gloomy vale, Soon all my mortal powers must fail; Oh, may my last expiring breath His loving-kindness sing in death!

While I feel His presence near me;
For my Father knows.

Yes, He sees and knows me daily,
Watches over me in love;

Sends me help when foes assail me-
Bids me look above.

Soon my journey will be ended,
Life is drawing to a close;

I shall then be well attended:
This my Father knows.

I shall then with joy behold Him-
Face to face my Father see;
Fall with rapture, and adore Him
For His love to me.

Nothing more shall then distress me
In the land of sweet repose:
Jesus stands engaged to bless me;
This my Father knows.

God kindly veils mine eyes, And o'er each step of my onward way He makes new scenes to rise; And every joy He sends me comes A sweet and glad surprise.

Where He may lead I'll follow

My trust in Him repose;
And every hour in perfect peace
I'll sing," He knows! He knows!"

2 One step I see before me ;
'Tis all I need to see: [shines,
The light of heaven more brightly
When earth's illusions flee;
And sweetly through the silence comes
His loving "Follow Me!"

3 Oh, blissful lack of wisdom! 'Tis blessed not to know;

He holds me with His own right hand,
And will not let me go;

And lulls my troubled soul to rest
In Him who loves me so.

+ So on I go-not knowing,

I would not if I might;

I'd rather walk in the dark with God
Than go alone in the light;
I'd rather walk by faith with Him
Than go alone by sight.
