[From Prof. Arnault, French Teacher, Boston.] * * * Indeed, I do not know any better Grammar, not only in this country, but in the world, for his purpose. It contains all the rules, difficulties, and niceties of the French language carefully collected from the very best authorities; and besides, the whole work is now presented on the new plan of the "abrege" of the grammaire nationale, (by Besherelle, Paris,) an improvement which makes this edition very valuable, clear, and convenient. In my opinion it ought to be, and will be in time, in the library of every body in America who wants to improve his French, and especially of all conscientious

teachers.
