Steinway Insignia

The trade-mark of Steinway & Sons is cast in the frame of every Steinway Piano. It is more than a symbol of trade; it is the guarantee of the most perfect piano that genius has thus far been able to produce.

It is the assurance that the world has been laid under tribute for its costliest materials, which artist-workmen have wrought into an instrument worthy the interpretation of the greatest masterpieces of music.

This trade-mark is the insignia of four generations of the house of Steinway, who have lavished their devotion upon one all-absorbing thought-the perfection of the Steinway Piano.

The Vertegrand, at $500, and the Miniature Grand, at $750, are the two latest Steinway models, and the public is earnestly requested to examine these remarkable instruments before purchasing elsewhere.

These pianos are obtainable from any authorized Steinway dealer at the above
prices, with cost of freight and handling added.

The

SOHMER-CECILIAN

PIANO

The Piano that Anybody-Everybody Can Play

is the celebrated Sohner Piano, with the mechanism of the Cecilian Piano Player built inside the case.

This piano can be played with the fingers precisely the same as you would play any ordinary piano-and in addition to this, you can play it by means of the Cecilian piano-player mechanism which is built into it. All that is necessary is to slip in a roll of perforated music and operate the pedals with your feet.

We wish to make this fact plain, for many persons have thought that this piano could not be played in the usual manner. It can be played either way and without making any changes of any sort.

You can play the Sohmer-Cecilian Piano even though you don't know one note from another. You can play any music play any music you wish.

The Sohmer-Cecilian is a piano which will be appreciated and enjoyed continually by your entire household, for every member of your family family can play it, play it with absolutely correct technic and with intelligent expression.

The Sohmer Cecilian occupies no more room and is no different in appearance from any high class upright piano.

The Cecilian Player in this piano has a metal action, something entirely new in piano player construction. Steel and Phosphor-Bronze take the place of wood wherever it is possible, thus doing away completely with all troubles caused by dampness or sudden changes in temperature.

There are many other points in regard to the wonderful tone-quality, the superior construction and finish, the "separable features" and the easy operation of the Sohmer-Cecilian which will interest you greatly. We will send you a complete description with views of the piano, if you will send us your address.

The price of the Sohmer-Cecilian Piano is $850. The Cecilian Player-Piano, which is a high grade piano of our own manufacture, with the Cecilian Piano Player built inside the case, costs $600 and upwards.

The Model of its Type

Experienced critics
say that the

Emerson

Short Grand is the most remarkable piano of its type ever produced in America.

It has a scale and touch of extraordinary evenness; a superb "singing" tone-quality and a volume approaching that of a full grand.

This is the climax to those broad foundation principles which underlie all Emerson pianos, and which are carried out by perfect materials and thorough construction.

No teacher, student, or lover of music can afford to be without it, because it contains information suited to the daily needs of all. The general articles treat on current topics. For the piano, voice, violin and orchestra there are special departments. Each issue contains twenty-four pages of new vocal and instrumental music, which, if purchased separately, would cost many times the price of the magazine.
