SHE: "Did you visit any of the out-of-the-way places when you were in Europe, Mr. Wabash?" HE: "Oh, yes; I visited Pompeii. That has been out of the way for a good many hundred years, you know."

Would call the attention of Amateurs and the Photographic fraternity generally to their specialties, to which they are constantly making additions. Our goods are second to none in Compactness, Lightness with Rigidity, Perfection of Finish, and ease of adjustment. Photographers will please notice that The Blair Camera Co. are the only manufacturers of a CAMERA EXTENSION for making negatives larger than the camera proper; thus saving expense of a heavy, large-sized camera. They can be fitted to any camera of standard make, and are instantly applied.

Blair's Cameras are fitted with the POPULAR PATENT REVERSIBLE ADJUSTER, having Spring Actuated Ground Glass Frame. This method of holding the Ground Glass Frame in position without removing it from the Camera and keeping the Plate-Holder in position during exposure, is superior to all other methods.

We invite especial attention to our ENGLISH COMPACT CAMERA and LUCIDOGRAPH, FEATHERWEIGHT HOLDERS for glass and films (dispensing with film carriers), etc., etc.

Send Ten Cents for 1888 edition Catalogue, sections A, B, C, of 130 pages. It is brimful of new and useful improvements.

The "Amateur Guide in Photography" (revised edition), sent post-paid on receipt of 25 cents.

Do you like nice things? Nice paper and envelopes for instance? Such as the "BOSTON LINEN." "BOSTON BOND." or "BUNKER HILL LINEN"? You have heard of them perhaps. Ask your stationer for them. If he does not keep them, we will make it for his interest to do so and hope he will some day. But if he hasn't them, we can send you samples representing more than 250 varieties, if you will send us three 2 cent stamps to pay postage, etc., and if you are not pleased when you get them we will gladly refund the money.

How many sheets to a pound. That depends on size and thickness, 160, 120, 96, 80 or 70 sheets and the cost is what you are disposed to make it.

Cheap papers we never recommend. Our best papers range in price from 25 cents to 75 cents per pound and the varieties of sizes, shades. finish, and thickness is all one could desire.

The cost of sending by mail is only 16 cents per pound, express or freight often cheaper still.

Besides paper and envelopes we make a specialty of stamping paper with MONOGRAM, HOME ADDRESS, CREST, STREET DIE, etc. Also of WEDDING INVITATIONS AND VISITING CARDS. None but the finest work is ever allowed to leave our establishment. Correspondence with Wholesale and Retail trade solicited. SAMUEL WARD CO. (Incorporated), 184 Devonshire St., Boston, Mass.
